Mahmoud took excellent care of us and made sure we always felt comfortable, safe, and happy. He shared so much history with us and always took the time to explain anything we asked. We saw Marrakech, Merzouga, Ouzarate, Fez, Chefchaouen, Dades Valley, Volubilis, and many other spots between. Everything was beyond our expectations. We live in Los Angeles and travel the world (spent over 110 nights in a hotel last year) so we are not novice travelers and our expectations are high. The service, the accommodations, food, all terrific. Morocco First Gate was the absolute best choice for my husband and me.

Mahmoud drove us in a beautiful Mercedes van that was very comfortable. He welcomed us like family and even brought us into his home in the Rose Valley which was a highlight for us. His kindness and generosity throughout really embodied the Moroccan spirit that we felt during our entire trip.

Another note on accommodations: Riad Yasmine (Marrakech), Dar Jasmine (Chefchaouen), and the crown jewel of Eden Boutique Hotel in the Dades Valley were all FANTASTIC experiences. Eden Boutique is brand new and I will not be surprised to see it on top luxury boutique hotel awards in the next few years. We upgraded our experience to ‘luxury’ accommodations everywhere we went and we were thrilled with everything.

The Sahara was beautiful and I would recommend making it a point to visit. Fez was my favorite city for its culture but there was not one place I did not enjoy- it was all spectacular.

We had city tour guides for Fez (Said) and Chefchaouen (Hazim) and I would recommend requesting them too. Their English was superb and they shared so much of their beautiful cities with us. Truly made our experience above and beyond.

We plan to book a tour again for the coast next time we come. Mahmoud is now like our family and we are sad to depart. Fantastic experience- 11/10!

Our driver Mr. Abdessamad (Abdul) was a super nice man from day 1 til the end of our stay in Morocco. He's a good driver and lets me sleep for the entire road trip and announce when it's our stop (thank you, Abdul! Jet lag is surreal). On the side note, he's very understanding and accommodating to customers' needs (stop by the ATM, pharmacy, and store). Abdul knows he got crazy and needy passengers, but he has tons of patience with us.

Our tour guides from Marrakech and Fez are awesome (Aziz and Omar), they are very knowledgeable and sent us to places that it's a must see as part of the Moroccan tour experience.

Us, aside from the original itinerary, we had other places wanting to visit and Abdul was able to manage through our timeline (back and forth at Jemaa el- Fnaa, Restaurants, and laundromat). What can we do without Abdul? Abdul WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND for us.

  My partner and I loved our 6d/5n private-tour from Marrakech to Fes; it truly was a great succes, and we owe this also to Morocco First Gate.

Positives: ... read more /> - the trip was perfectly tailored to our wishes.
- great communication both before and during the trip.
- our driver (Abdullah) was absolutely great; we will miss him
- the car was very, very good.

Points of attention:
- although the private trip was without "forced" shopping stops, we were still put in situations that resembled it. Perhaps this may have been due to our lack of assertiveness, but still.
- the luxury camp in Merzouga was the only disappointment of the trip; we advise future travelers to stay two nights in Merzouga instead (Riad Azawad was amazing), and just go for a evening/sunset camel ride from there.
